Hubercarb® Product Recommendations:   

• W3 and W4 (Extremely low level of crystalline silica from Quincy, Illinois)  
• G8 and G325 (High brightness ground calcium carbonate from Marble Hill, Georgia)
• Marble Elite Alpha Calcium Carbonate (Cast Polymer)
• Marble Elite® Gamma Calcium Carbonate (Cast Polymer)

Ground calcium carbonate is widely used in thermoset applications.  It is a key extender in fiberglass reinforced polyester applications such as Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) and Bulk Molding Compound (BMC) where it functions as a cost-effective extender with no adverse effects on processing or final physical properties.  It is used for viscosity control, to limit shrinkage and as a coefficient of thermal expansion.

Because of their morphology, the Hubercarb® W products are less abrasive than most other calcium carbonates.
